CNC Setup Machinist (Level 3)

Job Summary

A Level III Mill Machinist operates CNC/Manual equipment.

They are required to inspect the parts they machine and document their findings per company instructions.

They are also required to make machine setups and complete a production sheet to verify that their setup is good and that the part conforms to the customer’s requirements.

After the first piece is good, they hand off production to the Level II Machinists.

Additionally, they assist the Level II machinists.

In the case of a problem, they are to notify a Level IV Machinist, the Machine Shop Manager or the Engineering Manager.

They are also responsible for maintaining 6S.

Years of Experience: 5

Type of Experience:
5 years CNC operating experience, 5 years Fanuc Control experience, 5 years experience with inspection tools. (Note: Education requirement can be waived with management discretion and OJT).

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
